It is with immense pleasure the College announces the assumption of duty by Prof. Nafiu Amidu, a distinguished Foundation Fellow and erudite Professor of Chemical Pathology as he assumes duty on 1st November, 2024, as the second Registrar/Secretary General of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science. This is following the completion of the tenure of the Foundation Registrar, Dr. Godswill C. Okara.

Professor Amidu is bringing his immense wealth of many years experience as a University lecturer, researcher and administrator at the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana, to bear on the task of building a formidable regional College of excellence in postgraduate professional training in West Africa.
Professor Amidu had served earlier as the Foundation President of the College from 2020 – 2022. There is no doubt, he will break new grounds and take the College to new heights of success and achievement.

On behalf of all Fellows of the College, staff and management of the College Secretariat, I heartily congratulate and warmly welcome our own Professor Nafiu Amidu as he assumes duty.
